We advise you to subtract both 10 mm from the width and 10 mm from the height of this measurement, if you are covering the entire window. Thus, leaving 5mm around the film between the edge of the glass and the film, for a good seal and easy application.
  • This creates a good clean seal around the window cling increasing durability.
  • In addition, it allows for easy application of the film, as windows are seldom nicely rectangular/square and minimizes the attraction of dirt from the window frame/seals.
• Enter this size in millimetres into the online designer of your require rectangular/square window cling, say 500 x 500 mm. Maximum size 1480 x 3500 mm or 3500 x 1480 mm. Large films can/will consist of multiple films/pieces.
• Underneath the online designer you will find a question (in magenta) whether you want to apply the window film on the inside and thus require a mirror-image. Or if you will be applying the window film on the outside and/or not require a mirror image of your design.
  • You do not have to make a mirror image of your design in the online designer!
• You can use the “add design” button, on the left of the online designer, to upload your own designs/images.
• If you require non-western texts (Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Sanskrit, etc.) please upload your texts using the “add design” button. Copy-and-paste of this type of texts will NOT work!
• Are looking for a cut-to-shape design in the shape of your logo/etc.? Please contact us directly by email and attach your .ai/.eps/.pdf design.
• All white areas will remain free of ink, will not be printed (unprinted frosted window cling).
• Make sure you are using a recent version of a modern browser like (Chrome, Safari, FireFox or Edge) without add-ons/extentions/plug-ins, like ad-block, no-script or ghostery or proxies that block certain domains.

Only apply window cling on a flat and smooth glass surfaces, make sure the glass does not have any plastic protective films before application. At night your bespoke frosted window cling can be lit from inside. Also during the day make sure there is enough light coming from inside (i.e., behind the printed frosted window cling) so that the colours/print/design remains bright. We advise you to your custom frosted window cling with print in brightly lit areas. In darker areas/rooms we advise you to use high contrast colours and avoid pastels/subtle colours. Basically as it is a translucent film it’s a bit of a chameleon. The exact colour you see depends on the amount of light and the surrounding colours around the frosted window cling itself. The more light passes through the film the lighter the colours (as one of the main goals of this material is to block as little light as possible).

Always, first read, our extensive general information here.

Use the supplied squeegee during application. The white and transparent cling can easily be removed from their paper backing. For the frosted window cling we suggest using two pieces of painters tape, one piece on the front of the frosted window cling and one piece on the transparent backing.

Both the white and transparent window cling sticks to the glass with both sides of the film. The frosted window cling only this with the flat/backside (the side that is exposed after removing the transparent backing) to the glass.

Some general information about how to apply window film

• Make sure to not apply window film in direct sunlight, make sure the temperature of the window film, the window itself and the surrounding air is -ideally- around 12 to 18 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is above 18 degrees we advise you to apply the window film during the early mornings or after sundown.
• Use 2 or more people when applying your frosted window film. One holding the top/left of the film and one holding the bottom/right to position the window film correctly. Subsequently, during application one holds the film a couple of centimetres above the surface, while the other cards with the squeegee, starting in the centre of the frosted window film.
• Extensively clean the window and the surrounding area, including you work environment. Clean it of durst, dirt, flies, spiders. Watch out for your fingerprint on the window glass itself.

Use your water spray bottle to apply a small amount of water onto the glass itself. You may also want to apply water to the window frame to counter dust/dirt. If droplets start running across the glass you have used too much water.

Use 2 or more people. Apply the window cling to the glass and position the cling at the preferred location. One person holds the top/left of the window cling and the other person holds the bottom/right of the window cling, to position the window cling correctly.
Start in the centre/middle of the window cling and card, using your squeegee, towards the edge of the window cling. Move with horizontal or vertical overlapping movements towards the edge of the window cling.

Always pull the window cling outward, to make sure the window cling is completely flat on the glass, before carding over the film with your squeegee. Always start at the centre/hart of the cling.

Repeat this to the opposite side of the window cling. Again starting in de middle/centre of the cling and working your way outward.
